Our research is based on the fact that social, environmental and economic development calls for collaboration between the public, private, and civil society sectors. The recognition of this has prompted a recent increase in the number of collaborative PPPs. We investigate a variety of topics linked to PPPs, including partnership design and implementation, structures and strategies, complexity and systems, and partnership evaluations.
The Center seeks to create much-needed links between research, practice, and education programs. In addition to translating our research insights in a series of accessible Case Studies, we have introduced PPP modules in Master and MBA programs and supervise Master and Bachelor Theses related to PPP topics.
We are a small interdisciplinary and international team working at the Geneva PPP Research Center of the University of Geneva. We build communities within and across all the communities we serve, inside the University and city of Geneva, across Switzerland, and internationally through Geneva-based multilateral organisations and other international collaborations.

Gilbert Probst, Founder and Director has published an article with Achim Schmitt and Michael Tushman:
The role of the board chair in a crisis
Experienced chairpersons know that their success depends on how they walk the tightrope of being too involved or too remote in the company’s strategy execution. Yet when a crisis such as COVID-19 hits and the CEO transforms into Chief Crisis Officer, the chairperson may become increasingly unsure how to strike this balance.
