Gilbert J.B. Probst, born in 1950, Honorary Professor and Director of Public Private Research Center at Geneva School of Economics and Management (GSEM) at University of Geneva. Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Cantonale de Genève. Vice-president of Swiss Board Institute and Swiss Institute of Directors.

Managing Director and Dean of the Global Leadership Fellows Program at the World Economic Forum (2007-2016). Professor for organizational behavior and management and Co-director of the Executive-MBA program at the University of Geneva 2001-2017). He got his PhD as well as his habilitation in business administration from the University of St. Gall, Switzerland where he was also a lecturer and vice president of the Institute of Management. As a visiting faculty Prof. Probst taught at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, as well as at the International Management Institute (IMI, merged into IMD) in Geneva. He also served as the president of the board of Swiss Top Executive Training (SKU) and as a member of the board of the Swiss Management Society. Gilbert Probst is the founder of the Geneva Knowledge Forum with 18 companies, as well as CORE, Center for Organizational Excellence at the Universities of St Gall, and Geneva and the Strategic Knowledge Group, Zürich. He is an award-winning author of several books, papers and cases (Academy of Management Executive Best Paper Award, ECCH Best Case Award, Latsis Award for excellence in research). He also served as a Board member for Kuoni Travel Holding, Holcim, Acqiris, Alu menziken and Schläpfer AG and as a consultant for various major companies.

His publications deal with subjects such as “Managing Growth”, "Learning Organization", "Knowledge Management", "Systemic Management", "Thinking in Networks", "Structuring of Organizations".
